Tropic Thunder - redband trailer

Tropic Thunder is the comedy coming this summer with Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr. in blackface, Jack Black and apparently a cameo of Tom Cruise in a fat suit-. Together they play actors making a Vietnam epic, who get caught in real trouble. I don't like Ben Stiller's recent movies but this just looks gutbustingly hilarious, especially with Downey Jr. spoofing actors who change themselves for roles, this time "undergoing a controversial medical procedure" when he finds out his role was originally meant to be a black man.

I wrote about it earlier, but there's a better trailer out now, and along with the spectacular success of Iron Man, it looks like bad boy Bob has jump-started his career- instead of being the douche from Weird Science or the goofy pal from Back to School, he's his own self. If you haven't seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, I highly recommend renting it- he plays a man caught up in a murder plot with Val Kilmer as a gay P.I. and Michelle Monaghan as the girl in trouble. It's hilarious, and Downey and Kilmer's performances make it so.
